Did you know that in the 2016 election, 100 million Americans who were eligible to vote did not vote? That’s over 40% of eligible voters! With election day less than 3 months away, we started asking ourselves what we could do to help drive voter awareness and turnout.
One of the organizations we came across was https://postcardstovoters.org. After a quick and easy signup process, Postcards to Voters sends you a list of addresses of likely Democratic voters in areas with tight races across the country. They provide clear talking points for each group of addresses. All you have to do is write each postcard, add postage, and mail it out!
Today we're launching free postcards that we worked with designer Emily Poulin on that you can order and use to get out the vote. Whether you sign up to volunteer with Postcards to Voters, another organization, or want to write to friends and family to remind them to check their registration or request a Vote By Mail ballot, we hope that our collective effort can make a difference.
You can order postcards in quantities of 10, 25, 50, or 100 on our website. For packs of 50 or 100, we’ll charge $5 for shipping. Finally, please be aware that USPS is facing major delays (which also has huge consequences for this upcoming election), so please plan accordingly by ordering these ASAP in case they’re held up en route!
Remember, your vote is your voice and it matters!
